10-Day Morocco Tour
Day 1: Tangier and Chefchaouen
For our 10-day Morocco tour, we’ve planned an itinerary starting from the north of the country and then heading south. Our first stop is Tangier, the northernmost port city, overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar and just 16 km from Spain.
Tangier is a city rich in influencesthanks to a history of conquests and cultural exchanges with Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Carthaginians, Spaniards, English, and Portuguese. Its medina, the old city, is full of traces of its multicultural past and charming buildings that have inspired artists from all over the world. The Sultan’s Palace, the Ville Nouvelle , and the Grand Mosque are just some of the most beautiful stops to visit.
From Tangier, you can then reach Chefchaouen, one of the most characteristic and photographed towns in the country. The city is famous worldwide for the unique blue color of all its streets and buildings. Many legends surround this feature, but the truth remains unknown!
Day 2: Rabat
The second day of the trip takes us to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, rich in history and art. The historic center, the medina, the Kasbah of the Udayas and the fortified district are the most beautiful places to stroll and discover the rhythms and influences of Rabat, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The Hassan Mosque is an unfinished complex, but it still retains the charm and grandeur of the original project. What was meant to be the largest mosque in the country for Sultan Yacoub al-Mansour now stands as a majestic monument. Get ready for a unique adventure organized by Meeters!
