Here we are for our second instameet, this time... on the snow!

After a breakfast together, we organize car rides to reach the Dosso Alto Refuge located in Roverè Veronese.

It takes just under an hour from the center of Verona.
The journey is very pleasant (if the usual mountain curves don’t scare you): we chat happily while occasionally admiring the magnificent panorama glimpsed through the car windows.

As soon as we arrive, we meet the very friendly ownerwho runs the place together with his mother (an excellent cook!).
After arranging the lunch, we gather courage (the cold is biting), leave the warm hearth, and start taking our first shots outdoors: there isn’t much snow but the landscape is still enchanting.
The day continues very pleasantly: we stroll through groves and hamletsintroducing ourselves and sharing stories, experiences, and photography tips.

It’s surprising how sharing this passion makes people who have only known each other for a few hours feel at ease, and even more so to see that after a while even the most reserved open up to the group.

Time flies and it’s already lunchtime: we can’t wait to taste the typical dishes made by Emanuele’s mother.!

Our expectations are not disappointed: whether it’s ricotta gnocchetti from the mountain dairy or succulent meat dishes, here they know how to delight our palates... we don’t even skip the homemade dessert: a delight.
We exchange a few more words with the owner, who offers us a good shot (one of those that warms you even at -20°C): refreshed, we happily say goodbye and drive to another couple of hamlets.
We spend a few more hours photographing abandoned houses, snow-covered trees, solitary fountains, and horses that tirelessly pose in front of our lenses.

The day is coming to an end: we enjoy a good hot chocolate with whipped cream, accompanied by laughter, and say goodbye with a smile, hoping to meet again at future gatherings.

The return journey is accompanied by a beautiful, if somewhat melancholic, sunset and Guns n’ Roses singing “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” on the radio.
