The road we take to reach the meeting place crosses the famous “Valley of the Lakes,” just a short distance from the city of Trento.
The landscape is very evocative: lush hills, dense woods, vineyards, cypress-lined avenues, and imposing mountain massifs.
When we finally reach Lake Toblino we treat ourselves to a hearty breakfast at the café next to the castle.
Built in the 12th century and considered one of the most remarkable castles in Trentino, it was transformed in the 16th century into a summer residence by the prince-bishop Madruzzo.
Today, a little gem of Trentino.
