From there, the trail winds through breathtaking landscapes, offering walkers spectacular views of the Dolomites. The first unmissable stop is Gardeccia, a picturesque refuge nestled in greenery, where you can take a break to recharge with a good coffee or a slice of homemade cake. Continuing along the path, you cross lush woods and flower-filled meadows, with the chance to spot wildlife such as deer and marmots.

The route, while accessible to all, still requires some physical preparation, so it is advisable to wear proper hiking shoes and carry a good supply of water. The final destination, the Vajolet refuge, offers an unparalleled view of the Vajolet Towers, a natural spectacle that rewards every effort.

Once you reach the Ciampedia Refuge you need to head towards the Gardeccia Refuge: the trail is gentle and very busy; from Gardeccia refuge you then continue towards the Vajolet Refuge, a progressively steeper climb.

The highlight comes now: from the Vajolet Refugevia a steep and exposed trail, among boulders and rocks, you can reach the Re Alberto Refuge right at the foot of the Vajolet Towers. The lunar landscape contrasts with the wonderful panorama, truly able to fill the heart with satisfaction.

The hike, although challenging, is an experience that rewards every effort. Every step towards Re Alberto Refuge is accompanied by a crescendo of emotions, with the imposing Vajolet Towers standing ever clearer on the horizon. The refuge, nestled among these majestic rock formations, offers a warm welcome and a well-deserved rest. From here, the gaze loses itself among the surrounding peaks and valleys, where the sky seems to merge with the earth in an endless embrace. The feeling of being in such a remote and unspoiled place, far from the daily hustle, gives an inner peace that only high altitudes can provide.

The hike is not exactly child's play: it takes 5 or 6 hoursdepending on your fitness level, and the elevation gain is considerable. There are a full 740 meters to climb step by step, but nothing that can prevent a good hiker from enjoying the joy of the summit.
