About fifty minutes from Rome you’ll find Lake Bracciano, a highly charming destination absolutely unmissable for anyone passing through the capital.

The lake, of volcanic origin, covers 56 km² within the Bracciano-Martignano Regional Natural Park, which also includes the smaller Lake Martignano, just 2 km from the main lake.

The entire natural area is very enchanting and is the ideal place for trekking or mountain biking through beech and chestnut woods, far from the hectic pace of the big city. The lake is also swimmable during summer and is a destination for all enthusiasts of water sports such as surfing and kitesurfing.

Three beautiful medieval villages overlook its waters. The first, which gives its name to the lake, is Bracciano. This splendid town boasts one of the most beautiful, imposing, and best-preserved castles in Europe: the Orsini-Odescalchi Castle, where you can admire the rooms, decorations, and furnishings still intact today and explore itineraries throughout Italy to discover the beauties of the Belpaese in the company of new friends!
