As we gradually step into spring, why not start thinking about some hikes to take around Lake Como?
The Lake Como, nestled between the provinces of Como and Lecco, is one of the most interesting and extensive lakes in northern Italy and is known for having little to envy from another famous lake (we have some extra details about it here).

To cater to everyone planning a lovely spring weekend in the area, we've decided to create this article with a clear purpose: to provide a good starting point for walks, trekking, itineraries and more.

Without further ado, let's discover some of the most beautiful views you can see while walking around Lake Como. .

Walk to Monte Barro

Let's start right away with a group of trails leading to the summit of Monte Barro,a very interesting destination for tourists thanks to its incredible panorama over the rest of the lake. There are as many as 13 different trails to reach the summit of Monte Barro, each characterized by different lengths and difficulties.

One of the best for overall experience, considering difficulty and discovery, is the trail 304-301 which goes from Pian Sciresa to Monte Barro. In about two hours you reach the summit with a great advantage: you can continuously admire the lake and the Lecco mountains, not to mention rivers like the Lario, the Resegone, or the part of Brianza crossed by theAdda. These and the many other beautiful hidden gems within the Monte Barro Regional Park are what make this walk absolutely unmissable.

The Trail to Camaggiore

When talking about unmissable panoramic spots in the area, it's hard not to mention the trail 7 to Camaggiore..

The hike linked to this trail is one of the most well-known for locals and is simply a path that from Vendrogno leads to an alpine pasture called Camaggiore, located just above Bellano.
The trail takes about two hours to complete and is full of small attractions to visit, such as the San Grato Refuge.

Visually, it's almost impossible to remain unmoved by the beauty of the place. The trail to Camaggiore features several panoramic points overlooking the lake in front of Bellano and, due to the altitude, you can also admire Lake Lugano and Monte Rosa. Once you finish the trail,

before heading back to Vendrogno, it's worth stopping to visit thesmall church. The route from

Grignone via Cainallo to Rifugio Bietti is a perfect example of an interesting path for those who want to enjoy a nice walk around Lake Como. It starts from

Vo di Moncodeno, a locality in the municipality of Esino Lario near the better-known Cainallo. From there, at
about 1400 meters elevation, you begin walking through beech woods and wide meadows. The first intermediate point is Porta di Prada, a large rock archway that opens directly onto the lake, creating one of the most striking views of all Lake Como. From the arch, it's time to head towards

Rifugio Bietti-Buzzi, a refuge from which more challenging mountain routes start. Those not wanting to embark on these missions can always stop to taste the delights of the local cuisine. Conclusions
