Meeting people in Milan or another metropolis and making friends can sometimes seem almost impossible, right? Milan, like many European and global metropolises, is often considered a city where people feel very lonely: everyone is chasing their career and has no time for friendship or new acquaintances. This is partly true: since 2000, the number of singles in Milan has grown, reaching a percentage that’s hard to ignore. In fact, the singles in Milan make up a considerable percentage of the population (over 50%), at least compared to smaller Italian cities that are less business-oriented.
This isn’t necessarily a bad thing: while it may seem harder to make new friends when you’re single.
