Want to create a group tour in Sicily but aren't exactly sure which stops to choose to satisfy all your participants?
If you want to make unforgettable  the trip you take with other groups of people, you need to know that there are some practically unmissable stops, whether it's a tour in Western Sicily or a tour in Eastern Sicily.

At Meeters, we have considerable experience creating Sicily tours because we know the cities and the most important places to visit on this beautiful island. Given our experience in organizing events and organized trips, we couldn't help but write an article on how to create itineraries.

Inside this article, you'll basically find everything you need to put together the unmissable stops of an organized trip of about 8 days.
From Catania to Palermo, passing through the Aeolian Islands, the Egadi Islands, or that pearl of Syracuse.

Let's discover what should never be missing for those who have the chance to take a group trip to the pearl of the Mediterranean.

What to See in Eastern Sicily

First, let's talk about what to see in one of the most beautiful and fascinating places in the world, namely Eastern Sicily..

Taormina

Without a doubt, one of the places you can't miss if you want to go to Sicily is Taormina,a true gem of the eastern coast. The Roman theater of Taormina with a view of Mount Etna is one of the most captivating places in all of Sicily and is the best choice to start a beautiful journey along this side of the region.

The sea, as often happens in this region, is a continuous discovery of colors and coves.

Syracuse

Still talking about the eastern coast, let's put on the table a lovely visit to Syracuse, where art and nature meet in a combination of rare beauty. The historic center of the city, the famous island of Ortigia, offers one of the most beautiful urban landscapes in all of Italy, and just exploring some of the churches reveals the melting pot of cultures that have shaped the area.

Noto

In a selection of stops for travelers interested in discovery, you can't miss Noto, the baroque pearl and a small town made for travelers. Around Noto, every corner is poetry and every building has a story to tell: from the church—but what about Western Sicily? The richness of this region and its wonders are scattered throughout its coasts (and even inland), which is why now we will take a closer look at some unmissable places.

Zingaro Nature Reserve

Nature lovers, this is your moment. The Zingaro Nature Reserve is one of the most beautiful natural areas in all of Sicily, with incredibly beautiful beaches and Mediterranean scrub all around. The reserve's entrance is just north of San Vito lo Capo (and also at Scopello, very close to Palermo). Get ready to walk and leave your heart in this absolutely incredible natural area.

Erice, Trapani and the Salt Pans

Trapani is one of the westernmost points of all Sicily and has a world and atmosphere all its own. Very close to this provincial capital, you can find the surreal salt pans that for many years supported the city's economy and the incredible Erice, which can be reached (also) by a historic cable car. Erice is a hilltop village atop a mountain 800 meters high and is a hill town of undeniable charm, with views not unlike those you can see between Marche and Abruzzo. .

Marsala

Those who are hungry can't miss a stop at the splendid Marsala,a true capital of taste in the region. The land here has always been kind to its inhabitants, giving some of the most incredible foods ever seen, along with the namesake fortified wine that has captured hearts, tongues, and noses worldwide. Besides the mandatory tastings for those in the area, why not visit the Garibaldi Museum and the Salt Museum?

The Temples of Selinunte

When we talk about Sicily and temples, the first that come to mind are undoubtedly those of the archaeological site of Selinunte, one of the most fascinating sites in all of Sicily and the entire Mediterranean. The Selinunte park is located close to the sea and rivals the Temple of Concordia in charm, offering unique opportunities for those who want to combine culture and vacation in one occasion. No group tour in Sicily is worthy of the name without exploring these places.

The Scala dei Turchi

We close our selection with the Scala dei Turchi, one of the most beautiful beaches in all of western Sicily. This white marl cliff is located near the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento and has a wavy shape absolutely beyond imagination for beauty and charm. The sea in the area is exceptionally clean and, overall, the endless summer atmosphere permeates this place far from Etna, filling everything with an almost magical feeling that’s worth any budget.
