Lombardy is a region with stunning landscapes and a rich culture. The northern part is mountainous, while the south is mostly flat. Planning excursions to explore it is the best way to experience its natural beauty and historical heritage. The most popular excursions in Lombardy include visits to Lake Como, Lake Garda, and major cities like Milan, Bergamo, and Mantua. But there is a plethora of small villages scattered throughout the region that are highly appreciated by tourists. Not only that, the food and wine tradition, especially the wine culture, attracts visitors from all over the world.

Rich and stimulating excursions among villas, palaces, churches, villages, walks along trails, lakes, and rivers. Lombardy is all this and more.
We at Meeters have selected five excursions to suggest to you, let's discover them together!
Piani di Bobbio
The Piani di Bobbio are located in the province of Lecco, in the heart of the Brembana Valley. The landscape you can admire from here is truly unique: on one side the valley with its rivers, meadows, and woods, on the other the Valbrona, mountain with peaks that touch the sky.

The Piani di Bobbio are also the ideal starting point for numerous trekking and mountain bike routes. One of the most famous is definitely the Piani di Bobbio loop trail. The loop trail on the Campelli Mountains lasts about 3 hours, is suitable for everyone, and offers hikers the chance to take a break at a mountain hut where you can see various stuffed animals.
Among the sights to see is also the medieval village of Bobbio which still preserves its original appearance. Walking through the streets and alleys, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time! Worth a visit is also the Green Church of the “theater,” with the fishpond and a steep path leading to the panoramic viewpoint.
An absolute gem to visit, it looks like a miniature Versailles!
Lake and Waterfalls of Domaso in Lombardy
The ancient village of Domaso is post-Romanesque in age and the small harbor inside the bay still exists today.
