Women For Women – Against Violence is the name of an event created by women for women with a clear purpose: to combat all forms of violence. The common narrative about violence against women is often one of bloody violence, of wounds and scars that remain on the body. The reality, however, is quite different: focusing only on that kind of violence excludes more insidious and malicious practices, which are sadly common in our daily lives.
Violence against women does not only affect their bodies but has the power to go beyond, touching the woman’s self-image, her femininity, her sexuality, and her motherhood. Want an example? Hence the message: the support of others becomes essential to live again, even after suffering violence and even if such violence has left marks impossible to erase on one’s body or heart.For the occasion, several celebrities will participate as speakers at the Camomilla Awards with a clear task: to share their
personal experiences related to these issues. Meeters strongly believes in the project of
Women for Women – Against Violence and the Camomilla Awards linked to it, which is why it has decided to participate proactively in this initiative. Throughout the entire month of April, Meeters will provide concrete support for creating one of the aforementioned checks for the rebirth of women through a fundraising campaign. During this month,
we will collect €1 for every ticket sold without adding any surcharge to the final user’s expense. All the money we raise during this campaign will form the check that we will then donate to Filomena Lamberti. In doing so, we will give.
